In many parts of the Eastern World, child labor is still a major problem which does not get much media attention. Never Forget The Blood’s partners in Southeast Asia operate a Christian Charity School for impoverished and orphaned children in rural villages. In this country, children as young as 4 years old either have to work with their parents cleaning sewers or making bricks, or else be left to wander the streets where they are plunged into risk of sex-trafficking and drug addiction. 46% of this nation is still completely illiterate. Slavery and extortion are abundant across the land. 40% of the population suffers from mental health issues such as Clinical Depression, Generalized Anxiety Disorder, and PTSD.
By offering educational resources given by loving, devoted, teachers and support staff, these precious children overcome the darkness in their communities and shine as bright lights in their world. By educating trade skills and proven strategies of success, these children will be able to build a better future for their own selves and their neighbors.
